Itinerary
Morning: Depart from Arusha or nearby town early in the morning for Tarangire National Park, which is about a 2-hour drive.
Game Drive: Upon arrival, start with a game drive in Tarangire, known for its large population of elephants, baobab trees, and diverse birdlife. Explore the riverine forests, grassy savannah, and seasonal swamps.
Lunch: Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot within the park, surrounded by the scenic wilderness.
Afternoon: Continue the game drive, exploring different areas of the park and spotting wildlife such as lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and more.
Accommodation: Head to your lodge or campsite near Tarangire for dinner and overnight stay.
Morning: After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, approximately a 1-hour drive from Tarangire.
Game Viewing: Enter Lake Manyara and start exploring its diverse habitats, including the lake itself, woodlands, and open plains. Keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, flamingos, hippos, and other wildlife.
Lunch: Enjoy a packed lunch within the park, taking in the beautiful views.
Afternoon: Continue game viewing, visiting different parts of the park and maximizing wildlife sightings.
Accommodation: Drive to your lodge or campsite near Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight stay.
Early Morning: Depart very early for the Ngorongoro Crater, which is about a 2-hour drive from Tarangire.
Descent into the Crater: Arrive at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Wildlife Exploration: Spend the day exploring the crater floor, which harbors a dense concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and leopards).
Lunch: Have a packed lunch at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the crater floor.
Afternoon: Continue wildlife viewing and soak in the dramatic landscapes before ascending out of the crater in the late afternoon.
