Detailed Tour Itinerary
Day 0: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha
Arrival Kilimanjaro Airport where you will be met and assisted by Kilibound Adventure staff for transfer to Arusha Town, depending on your arrival time you will be able to have a town tour to buy your stuff and watch out this beautiful town and its people, later in evening you will be taken back to the hotel for dinner and Overnight ready to prepare for your Safari on the next morning.
Day 1: Arusha – Mount Kilimanjaro (Shira Plateau rise at 3,504meters high)
Drive from Arusha to Londorossi Gate, then to the starting point Moram Barrier 3450ft/11,450ft
Moram Barrier: 3,450m/11450ft to 3,505/11,500ft
Distance: 4 km
Hiking Time: 2 hours, 4 Hours Round Trip
Breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, around 0700 hrs you will be picked up from your stay in Arusha and transferred to the Londorossi Gate on the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro where registration and weighing formalities will be done, we will have a permit to take a short drive further through the park rough road to Morum Hill Gate 3450m / 11,450 ft, where you will begin your trek. Together with number of crew which depends on the number of guests, with lunch break on the way, you trek through the moorland and heather vegetation heading to the East crossing ridges and valley enjoying the beautiful landscapes as well as a long flat distance to Shira One camp, rise at 3504m/11496ft Shira 1, the place whereby you will have dinner and overnight. Easy walks from Shira 1 to nearby viewpoints like to Shira peak are recommended so that you can get awesome pictures of the Giant Kilimanjaro.
Day 2: Kilimanjaro Shira Plateau – Back to Arusha
At any time from the night hours, the mountain can wear out the mist and offer you the best view of its snow cape. Take the nice photo for your memories. Breakfast at Shira one, then around 0800hrs we descend for an hour to meet your transfer vehicle and spend 4-5 hour drive to Arusha for your next travel program in northern Tanzania Wilderness that includes the Tarangire ,Serengeti & Ngorongoro .
Day 3: Arusha to Tarangire
After having your breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel by Kilibound Adventures professional driver-guide, around 8 am, and depart for Tarangire National Park for a game drive until the later afternoon. This National Park is about 118km away from Arusha town, which covers an area of 2850sq km that’s about 1600 miles and derivers its name from the Tarangire River that flows through the center of the park. The river flows from south to northwest and empties its water in Lake Burungi. An exceptional collection of Acacia tortilis and baobab trees .A picnic lunch will be provided inside the park. Evening you will leave Tarangire National Park to Karatu town for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
Early morning you will depart after breakfast around 6.30 am for Serengeti National Park. On transit to Serengeti you will have en-route game drive from Ngorongoro to Serengeti, You will be able to visit the Olduvai Gorge where the oldest human remains were discovered (optional) then we proceed to Serengeti National Park. You will have a picnic lunch inside the Serengeti and an afternoon game drive will follow. Around 5 pm you will drive to your accommodation inside the national park where you will have your dinner and enjoy the evening.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will spend the day in the Serengeti National Park. You will return to your accommodation for lunch and then go back for a later afternoon game drive when the sun isn’t as strong and the animals are more active. Later on, you will go back to your beautiful accommodation for dinner and Overnight.
Day 6: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
Another day in the Serengeti National Park before we later leave to Ngorongoro Crater. We are completely flexible with your preferences. On this day of the safari, your guide will discuss with you the best timings for you, including the game drives and the wake-up time. For example, on this day, you could do an early morning game drive which start before sunrise. Thereafter return back to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. After that drive back to the Park to finish with an afternoon game drive, or you could do a game drive with a picnic lunch later on while leaving the park to Ngorongoro Crater you can probably see the animals hunting at this time. You will watch animals as you drive in between the two parks and you will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area this evening ready for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Shortly after breakfast, you will depart into the Ngorongoro Crater around 7 am, then descend to the beautiful huge caldera with about 600m deep full of animals and birds, the only animal that you won’t see in here is a giraffe. Where you will spend the morning viewing animals until later afternoon. You will have a picnic lunch inside the crater and then drive back to Arusha to your final destination.
Day 8: Departure Day
On this last day, you will depart from your hotel in Arusha Town based on your flight time to Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will check out at the hotel and then leave for a town tour in Arusha at Maasai Cultural Market in Arusha town, then we leave to the airport ready to catch your flight to the next destination of your Safari. This will be the end of our Serengeti And Ngorongoro Classic Tanzania Safari.
