What to Expect on this Deluxe Uganda Gorillas Trekking Safari
You may expect many beautiful and amazing things when you are in this Uganda Gorillas Trekking Safari with Kilibound Adventures, a striking feature that is most often seen in the areas near the rainforests is the use of terraced agriculture, which rings the hills in thousands of shades of green. Beginning at the main point of arrival in Entebbe, most safaris will head west to the broad belt of national parks that form the western border. Due to the country being situated right on the meeting point of the eastern savannah and western jungle ecosystems, Uganda has excellent terrain for a wide variety of safaris, from traditional game drives through golden grassland seeking lion or elephant to strapping on your hiking boots and trekking through lush rainforest.
DAY 0: ENTEBBE UGANDA
Arrival in Entebbe International Airport in Uganda.
You will be met by our professional driver guide and transfer to the Hotel.
Overnight at the PROTEA HOTEL MARRIOTT ENTEBBE – Deluxe room (Bed & Breakfast)
DAY 01: ENTEBBE – FLY BWINDI IMPENETRETABLE NATIONAL PARK
Early breakfast at the Hotel
Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for a domestic flight to Western Uganda, departing Entebbe at 07.00 hrs. Arrival at the Kisoro Airstrip (expected arrival at 08.10 / 08.55 hr.).
On arrival you will be transferred by road in about two hours (34 km) to the home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Check in at the lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to relax and prepare yourself for the next day. Or go for an optional (guided) forest walk for a first introduction with Uganda’s unique flora and fauna.

DAY 02: BWINDI IMPENETRETABLE NATIONAL PARK-GORILLA TRACKING EXPERIENCE

This morning commence the trek after the briefing at the park gate.
The highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. Spend 1 hour with the gorillas! A unique and unforgettable experience!
Please remember to bring your passport for registration, appropriate, water proof hiking boots and a light rain coat. To protect from stinging nettles, we recommend long pants and long sleeved tops. A pair of old gardening gloves can help grabbing onto the vegetation while most hotels/lodges provide a walking stick that come in very handy especially when hiking downhill. A small waterproof backpack is an excellent idea to carry a light snack, bottled water as well as protection for your camera.
Upon sighting the gorillas, you spend 1 hour with them as they go about their daily life; feeding, moving, playing, raising their young and sometimes wrestling by the juveniles – it is a totally unique and unforgettable experience! Afterwards trek back to the lodge for lunch and a refreshing shower.

DAY 03: BWINDI NATIONAL PARK – ENTEBBE – DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the Lodge.
Transfer to the Kisoro airstrip for the morning scheduled flight KISORO – ENTEBBE ready for your flight to your next destination or back home.
(PCR test done in Entebbe before departure which takes 03 to 06 hrs. – if they will still be required. cost is NOT included).
